Studies show that it improves self image while teaching you how to connect with your body in new and fun ways. Belly dance is a non-impact, weight-bearing exercise, which is especially good for women, since it can reduce the risk of osteoporosis. There is minimal stress on knees and feet. Depending on the intensity of exercise, participants can increase breathing and raise their heartbeat, which can assist in building cardiovascular strength. It can burn as many calories as light jogging, swimming or riding a bike.
The advantage of belly dance is that it is suitable for all ages and body types. It can be as physically challenging as the dancer or student chooses. Many belly dance moves develop the ability to move various muscle groups independently, increasing flexibility in the torso and back. Dancing with the veil can help build strength in the upper-body, arm and shoulders. Playing the zills can get fingers trained to work independently and build strength. The legs and long muscles of the back are strengthened by hip movements. Belly Dancing has no boundries. It doesn't matter how much you weigh or what shape you're in. Class Information Classes are held every Wednesday at Final Results Fitness in the Belly Dance Studio.
Beginners classes are from 6pm to 7pm*
Advanced classes are from 7pm - 8pm *New beginners class starts Wed. Sept. 9th The cost for the 6 week session is just $60. Students can pay weekly drop in rate of $12 per class.

Belly Dance Studio Information -About Shadia
The Belly Dance Studio at Final Results Fitness is directed by Shadia. Shadia is an accomplished Middle Eastern Dancer who has performed throughout the U.S. and abroad. She has been dancing for over 30 years and has studied with the most famous teachers in the world. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, she still performs regularly at the Casablanca in Philadelphia, and at the Alladin in Allentown. About Troupe SaharaTroupe Sahara is the performance arm of the Belly Dancing School. Shadia has been the director of Troupe Sahara for over 10 years. The performers of Troupe Sahara are students who have developed their Middle Eastern dance skills with the intention of taking the show on the road in the form of public performances. Shadia and her Troupe Sahara have been featured artists in various restaurants in the Allentown, Reading and Philadelphia area, at The Goggleworks in Reading, the Philly Fitness Festival and the BCTV Telethon. They perform yearly at the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire.
